Certification on track
After additional research and documentation by IGB, the Protos trains can run in double traction and at the designed top speed of 160 km/h.
Support during production and admission of new trains
For Connexxion, a major Dutch public transport provider, IGB provided consultancy and supervision during the production and admission of a series of new trains for the so-called "Vallelijn".
Traceability and transparency
As a result of new legislation, Dutch railway companies were faced with more stringent rules for the refurbishment of trains. IGB assisted one of these companies in managing and documenting their repair activities and maximized efficiency in repair approval procedures.
Design verification
IGB have been asked for the design verification of an adapter for lifting trains using FEA analysis. The challenge is that the adaptor must jam itself before the load conditions are obtained.
