Living up to meet these high standards, IGB has installed an internal quality management system based on ISO 9001-2000 and implemented a Product Data Management (PDM) solution, fully integrated with our quality system.
The PDM system not only keeps track of files and revision of the data created, but also manages the flow of documents within the company (internal review process) as well as data sent to the customer (external review process).
Why it is important to have a data management system implemented? As an example, data generated for this project that needs to be managed:
- 512 emails send and recieved
- 1782 files stored (27.3 Gb)
- 375 reports, FEM calculations and spreadsheets generated, controlled with the PDM system
